Asana - a physical posture or pose.
Namaste - This gesture represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within us. Namaste is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another. "Nama" means bow, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you." To perform Namaste, place the hands together at the heart, close the eyes, and bow the head.
Om - also spelled "Aum," is a Hindu sound symbolizing the "Absolute." It is often used as a mantra during meditation. It can be pronounced as if it rhymed with "home," or also pronounced "ah-oo-mm."

Pranayama - Breath control. Pranayama is used in yoga as a separate practice to help clear the body and mind. It is also used in preparation for meditation, and in asana, to help maximize the benefits of the practice.
Yoga - The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root yuj,
meaning "to join". Yoga is a practice, not a religion. Yoga is an ancient art based on a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, and spirit. The goal of yoga is to lead you to a sense of peace and well-being, and also a feeling of being at one with your environment.
